Fun Run 2016
Sunday 15 May

Buckingham Park CE Primary School PTA is hosting a Fun Run and Fun Day for children in the school on Sunday 15 May.
 
Children in Nursery and Reception will complete a short route on the school site, and children in Years 1 – 5 will follow a marshalled route through the Buckingham Park community.    There will be refreshments, BBQ, face painting and bouncy castles at school to enjoy as part of the fun day.
 
Each child must be accompanied by an adult throughout the event.   Runners, joggers and walkers are welcome!

​The booking form is below. Additional copies are available from the school office. All entry forms, 1 per child taking part, must be completed and returned to the school office with your entry fee by Friday 22nd April 2016.
 
All children must be accompanied by an adult.

​Route information:
 
Nursery and Reception Children:              2 laps of school field
Years 1,2, 3, 4 and 5 Children:                 3 km / 2 miles
 
The route for children in Years 1 – 5 is on public paths outside of the school grounds around Buckingham Park. Please take care as some areas may be uneven. Please also be aware of pedestrians and dog walkers sharing the paths. We do not have right of way over other users.
 
The route is suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs, please be aware there is a short steep decline towards the middle of the route.  
 
Please note there will be 3 road crossings on the route (Culpepper Close and twice at Prince Rupert Drive). These will be staffed by marshals but it is the accompanying adult’s responsibility to ensure that children cross the roads safely.
 
At the start, those children and accompanying adults in Years 1-5 will line up in order of runners, joggers and then walkers.

Additional Information

Can I enter on the day?
No. All booking forms and fees must be returned to the school office by Friday 22th April 2016 for children to take part.
 
Is there a minimum age?
No. We encourage families to take part. The route is suitable for buggies. Only children from Buckingham Park C of E Primary School that have been officially entered will receive a medal. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
 
How much does it cost to enter?
The entry fees for the Buckingham Park Fun Run are:
Nursery and Reception:  £3.00                     Years 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5:   £4.00
 
Can I bring my dog?
No, sorry, dogs are not allowed to take part.
 
Is this event timed?
No, the Buckingham Park Fun Run is a fun run, not a timed race. Please feel free to use your own timing watches and apps.
 
Do I need special running clothes?
No need to buy any special lycra! Please wear comfortable clothes and please ensure you have suitable footwear; trainers are ideal for runners.
 
Do I need to be fit and fast?
No, you can run, jog, or walk this event.   Please ensure you are in good health before taking part in this event.
 
Do I need to fundraise?
No. Sponsorship will not be required to take part in this event.
 
Is there parking available on site?
No. Please walk to the event, or use the public car parks in the surrounding areas.
 
Litter
Please do not litter. Please use litter bins provided, or if on route, ask the nearest marshal to dispose for you. Thank you.

This event is run by volunteers. The organisers and all volunteers cannot be held responsible for any personal injury, accident, loss, damage or public liability.
