Our Christmas Lunch is on 16th December. This is a lovely time for the children to enjoy a festive lunch with their friends and the staff team get a bit festive too!
In order to ensure that we correctly guage our order, please would you complete the attached form by Wednesday 25th November. Infant children will receive the meal as part of the universal free school meals deal, as will any children in Years 3 - 5 who are eligible for a free school meal. For other children, the meal will be charged at the usual cost of £2.20 (but please make sure that you have money in your ParentPay account to cover the cost of the meal). It's the Buckingham Park Community Christmas Fayre on Friday 18th December, from 5.30pm to 8pm. This year we're joining with the Community Centre and other local organisations to create one, fabulous fayre for the entire community of Buckingham Park. We'll need lots of help on the day. Thanks for your support The Great Fire of London swept through the central parts of our capital city, from Sunday, 2 September to Wednesday, 5 September 1666. The Great Fire started at the bakery of Thomas Farriner on Puddding Lane and quickly spread through the timber-framed, closely-packed houses of London. Last week, we re-created the fire on our school playground as a starting point for some writing in Year 2. Our homes were quickly constructed, then closely packed together on our very own 'Pudding Lane'. On Friday 6th November, our Year 4 children, accompanied by some brave staff member, stayed overnight at school. The theme of the sleepover was 'team work' and we discovered that Together Everyone Achieves More. We constructed a massive tetrahedron (see pictures below) and we also built towers, did team skipping and undertook an obstacle course - and lots of fun besides. Building a team... |
