Christmas Angels - Thank you!

Yesterday, we handed over all of our donators amazing gifts and we had a number of parents in tears due to the generosity of you lovely people! Lots of our parents spoke openly yesterday about how hard this year has been, about their struggles financially and otherwise and about what a difference we (but really all of you) have made to their family this Christmas. 

I cannot thank you enough. Laura Kyrke-Smith (MP) was blown away yesterday by the amount of presents and said she had never seen a school organise or make something like this possible before - see a video above created by her and her team relating to this project! 

Organising this is one of the most stressful things I do each year - keeping anonymity, maintaining communication and making sure that everything goes to the write people isn't easy - but my work is tiny compared to the generosity of our donators. 

A few special thanks:

• To one of our families who sat with Mrs Whytewood and I three or four years ago, wanting to see if they could help at Christmas - without this conversation, who knows if this appeal would even exist. 
• To another parent whose family donated £500 independently to the appeal which has made a huge difference
• To Budgens on Buckingham Park who have donated chocolates for all of the children
• To Lorenzo's Pizzeria, who donated vouchers for some of our most vulnerable families to have free meals over the Christmas break
• To the teams at S&J Pierce and Red Cone Recruitment who gathered extra donations and support

We had the best part of £6000 in donations, supporting nearly 50 children this year and have plans to grow this even more next year - with your support!
