SEN Coffee Morning

We were lucky enough to welcome Tim and Holly from the Buckinghamshire EP service to join us at our latest SEN coffee morning today, focussing on 'after school restraint collapse' - or that 'coke-bottle' effect that lots of parents experience with meltdowns, emotions and big feelings when children arrive back home after school.

Key takeaways were very helpful including keeping predictability, a calm and meaningful approach, maintaining a calm 'landing zone' at home and allowing their own coping mechanisms.

This was incredibly useful and we try to get guests at as many of these mornings as we can to support our families.
