Year 6 Residential News!

18/3/2026

Dear Parents and Carers,

We are very happy to announce that after a year off, we will be holding a Year 6 residential stay to celebrate your child's end of their primary school journey.

In previous years, we have not been able to do this due to cost implication on the school. Therefore, this year, we have kept the cost as affordable as possible. The trip will take place on 4th and 5th June, with a one night overnight stay. This takes place at Point Blank Adventures which is only 15-20 minutes drive away near Soulbury, Leighton Buzzard.

This will include activities such as axe throwing, archery, camouflage and concealment games, fire lighting, assault courses, woodland walk trails and hopefully lots more, as well as a night camping alongside their friends!

I am very happy to announce that we will be able to organise this trip for £85 per child. This does not include transport, as coach prices are a major factor in price increases. Payments will be split over the months of April and May for the trip, once we have confirmation of numbers.

To be able to bring in the trip at this cost, we will:

  • Ask parents to provide a packed lunch on the first day.
  • Arrive back to school at lunchtime on the Friday, so that parents can order a normal school lunch or send in a packed lunch.
  • Ask parents to arrange their own transport to and from the venue. Parents can liaise to collect and drop off a few children and closer to the time we will ask for all parents to confirm their own private arrangements for this. I am happy to say that AVA have agreed to loan a minibus and driver, so that if we have a small number of families who can't arrange their own transport,  we are able to take. Of course, this is only for a smaller number. We are finalising timetables, but would expect drop off at the venue of around 8:30 on the Thursday and collection around midday on the Friday.
  • We, and Point Blank, will provide snacks, dinner and breakfast.

I am now asking all parents to complete the below here as an indication of attendance and acknowledgement of the transport and food arrangements. This needs to be done by Friday 27th March, so that we can set up and process payments for this.
