Here comes the Bride...
On Tuesday 23rd July 2013, we had a wedding at school!
Revd. Mark joined us to lead the service and conduct the marriage. Of course, no-one was really getting married but some brave Year 2 children played the parts of bride, groom, best man, bridesmaid and father of the bride so that we could have our very own wedding service.
The children in Key Stage 1 have been learning all about wedding celebrations as part of their learning in Religious Education.
The service began with the bride entering the service to Jeremiah Clarke's Trumpet Voluntary. The bride was given away by her 'father', and the bride and groom exchanged promises and rings (which had been well looked after by the best man!) The bridal party left the service to Mendelssohn's Wedding March.
The wedding party and guests then had photographs outside the school.
We hope you enjoy looking at the photographs.
