Pupil Premium Grant and Sport Premium Grant
Pupil Premium
About the Pupil Premium
The Pupil Premium is allocated to schools for children of statutory school age from low-income families who are known to be eligible for Free school meals (FSM) in both mainstream and non-mainstream settings (or children who have been eligible in the last six years). It is also for children who have been looked after by the local authority continuously for more than six months, and children whose parents are currently serving in the armed forces.
Schools are free to spend the Pupil Premium as they see fit. However, schools will be held accountable for how we have used the additional funding to support pupils. From September 2012 we are required to publish online information about how we have used the Premium. This will ensure that parents and others are made fully aware of the attainment of pupils covered by the Premium and the extra support that they receive.
If you think that your child might be eligible for a Free School Meal, take a look on our School Meals Page for further information.

Sport and PE Premium
What is the Sports Premium?
The government is providing funding for PE and school sport. The funding is for primary schools to spend on improving the quality of sport and PE for all their children. Each school receives £8,000 plus an extra £5 per pupil each year for the next two years - here at Buckingham Park CE Primary School that will mean around £9,000 a year. The money can only be spent on sport and PE provision in schools.
Purpose of the funding
Schools will have to spend the sport funding on improving their provision of PE and sport, but they will have the freedom to choose how they do this.
How we will use the funding
Pleaase see the documents below for further details.
