![]() Playing at home, in cold conditions, Buckingham Park played Bierton Combined School in a league match.. The Buckingham Park team, in their famous light and dark blue stripes, served up an entertaining classic as the game finished 5-1 to the mighty BP! It was end-to-end stuff with Theo producing a remarkable goal-keeping display, keeping the away team at bay. A strong defensive performance from the back three, including a man-of-the match performance from Mare, gave a strong foundation for an attacking display from the team. The game started in high spirits as both sides looked to gain an early advantage and the home side seized the initiative after just 5 mins. Emmanuel A pushed the ball down the right hand side and finished well from a tight angle. 1-0. After going behind early, Bierton needed to respond, which they did in style with a well taken goal. 1-1. With tireless running and super skills from Emmauel C and Takunda in midfield, Buckingham Park caused difficulty for the Bierton defence. A ball over the top allowed Emmanuel A to show his strength and finish into the corner. 2-1. Continuing to press, Buckingham Park were now showing their confidence - resolute in defence, skillful in midfield and strong up front. A third goal, scored by Emmanuel C, came courtesy of some persistent attacking in the Bierton goal area. 3-1. Zee, Olly,Lewis and Ivo all took their turn in defence alongside Mare - fending off every attempt Bierton made on the Buckingham Park goal. On the few occasions they were beaten, Theo could be relied upon for a save. Lewis played centre forward to give Emmanuel A a break and, with his back to goal, flicked the ball round the corner and past the wrong-footed keeper. A well taken goal. 4-1. Emmanuel A returned to the fray to earn a penalty as the result of a clumsy challenge. He stepped up and slotted home the penalty to complete his hat trick! 5-1. Overall, a great performance from the entire team. Our league performance so far: Won 2, Drawn 1, Lost 0.

![]() We are setting our children, staff and families a challenge in recognition of Lent. Lent is the 40 day period before Easter, starting on Ash Wednesday (the day after Shrove Tuesday – last week). We are launching ‘26 days’ this Thursday during our ‘Reflect’. It is a kindness and generosity challenge. During the 26 school days remaining in the term, we will try and complete an act of kindness each day. Small acts of kindness have the power to make a big change to our school and community. The idea is simple; during the period of Lent, as a whole school, we’ll give something back, not give something up. Each class has a set of Challenge Cards. Each school day, beginning on Thursday, every class picks a Challenge Card at random and this becomes their challenge for that day. Each task is a small act of generosity or kindness. You can join in at home with the wall chart below. ![]()
![]() There were some strange goings on in Worship Time this morning. Mr Waldron was taken unwell and couldn't lead our Worship Time so the children decided to help out by creating a 'Marvellous Medicine'. When Mr Waldron drank the medicine (which included some horrid ingredients!) he started to behave very strangely - like a very naughty young child! He sat with the children, ran round the hall, joined in 'Great Big God', then had to leave to go to the toilet! Following a couple of very close early league matches - one loss and one draw - our team recorded their first victory with a 5-0 win against St Mary's School. Well done team! As with all our web pages, if you or your child features in a photo and you prefer it not to be on our site, please email office@buckinghampark.org and we will remove it without question.
