 Last week, a team of Year 3 and Year 4 pupils participated in an athletics festival at the Mandeville School. Each child competed in throwing, jumping and running events - doing their individual best and scoring points for the team.
We're delighted to say that our team finished in joint 1st place and the following pupils were also placed in individual events: Cameron: 1st place in the sprint, and 3rd place in the distance run Beth: 3rd place in the Long jump McKyle: 2nd place in the throw, and 2nd place in the distance run This is a fabulous achievement for these pupils and also for the entire team. We were thrilled to have some special visitors in school today. Mrs Kaenzig brought in two ewes and three lambs to see us. Each class was able to visit the sheep, hear about them, and ask questions.
 We said a sad farewell to our chicks today. They have become a part of the Buckingham Park family since hatching in the entrance hall last week and the children were sad to see them go!
The children have learned lots through the process but it is time for them to move to their new homes - and they were getting to big and too clever to live in our classrooms, finding new and innovative ways to escape and run round the room. Our very own 'Chicken Run',  The Hercules Football Academy for boys & girls will start on Tuesday 28th April. Parents can book for 5 or 10 weeks. The courses are for Reception and years 1 to 4. The Qualified coaches will teach the principles & skills of football and sessions culminate in FUN matches and games.  From Wednesday 22nd April, we’re delighted to invite children from ALL YEAR GROUPS to sign up for a 5 week course in Ballroom Dancing with KaSo Dance. The club is for boys and girls, with a male and female instructor at each session. The sessions will be a great opportunity for the children to learn teamwork, to be creative and use up some energy. The club will start immediately after school every Wednesday, starting on Wednesday 22nd April.
