Our School Logo is now in place and will feature on all our signage, stationery and uniform. We wanted a logo which was modern and fresh, as well as helping us to think about our school ethos and values. You'll notice that our logo is as if three parts are holding hands, joined together, working as one. This helps us to remember our aim as a school to be three 'communities' working as one: A learning community, a Christian community, and a local community. The three parts also help us to remember the Christian understanding of God - three in one - Father God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. Furthermore, the logo has a 'life' to it. It is colourful and lively - showing us that our school is a great place to be and a great place to learn! Our logo will be displayed as just the image in many contexts, but also with the school name, and with our school vision. So keep your eye out for all three versions of the design.

Our recruitment continues as we get ready for our school opening in September. We are currently advertising for three positions; A class teacher for our Key Stage 1 class, a caretaker/cleaner, and a kitchen assistant. Take a look at our vacancies page for further information. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask! We're really keen to keep parents informed of developments at the school. To this end, we have published the first edition of 'Countdown', our parent newsletter for June, July and August. We hope that parents, and others interested in the school, will find the newsletter informative. Parents can receive a copy by email, simply send a message to [email protected] requesting that you are added to our list. And, as always, feel free to ask us any questions, at any time. We're now in the last half term without a school on Buckingham Park!
New parents...look out for a 'Countdown Newsletter' which will be heading your way soon - the first of several as we build up towards September. We have much to tell you - our school dates, induction events, school uniform, times of the school day, after school care, hot school meals, school photographer date, and so much more. The school building is really taking shape now. We are busy ordering furniture - it's very exciting! This half term, we'll be seeking to appoint some more staff, starting with a teacher for our Year 1 and 2 children, followed by some support staff. Keep your eye on the 'vacancies' page if you are interested. We've been incredibly busy over the last couple of weeks as planning for the new school has gathered pace and are now racing ahead.
Last week we appointed our first teacher - an experienced teacher to lead the Early Years Foundation Stage (Reception and Nursery classes). She will also be a class teacher in Reception. This week we appointed our second teacher, for our second Reception class. We'll be able to tell you all about them shortly, just as soon as their current schools have had time to announce their departures. What we can say at this stage is that we are really excited to have appointed two amazing teachers who are both fully committed to child centred learning in the foundation years. They will be an amazing team! This week Hayley Jackson, our School Business Manager, started full time as part of the school's leadership team. She is busy making sure that all our finances are in order, planning the recruitment of some of our support staff, getting our hot meals service ready, and planning the purchase and installation of furniture - amongst many other things! Welcome to the team Hayley! We hope that you have all been enjoying the sunshine! We have certainly been pleased to see the school build coming together very quickly in the good weather. It has also been a good chance to get a feel for the school in the warm weather - our modern, eco-friendly, natural air ventilation system will keep us all cool on the hottest of days. We'll be the coolest school around! |
