On Wednesday and Thursday last week we were subject to an inspection by two inspectors from Ofsted. During the course of the two days the inspectors observed lessons, scrutinised children’s work and teachers’ planning, spoke with governors, parents and pupils, and looked at the progress that children were making in our school. I would like to thank all those parents who contributed to the inspection process by completing an online questionnaire through ‘Parent View’, or by speaking with the inspection team. The inspectors were very impressed with the support of the parents and we were thrilled that all those who responded to the questionnaire would recommend the school to another parent. We believe that the inspection report will accurately reflect the school’s strengths and areas for development. We expect the report to be published in 2 – 3 weeks’ time and I will ensure that all parents have access to a copy as soon as possible.

It's going to be an amazing weekend for Father Christmas in just a few weeks' time. On Friday 6th December, from 6pm, Santa will be touring the streets of Buckingham Park on his special float - so listen out for the music and make sure you get outside and give him a wave! He'll also have some friendly helpers with him collecting for two great charities: Barnardo's, and Helen & Douglas House. Please be generous! Following his tour around Buckingham Park there'll be carols, mulled wine and mince pies in the Community Centre and everyone is welcome. See you there! And on Saturday 7th December, he'll be at our Christmas Fayre from 12pm - 3pm. Children can visit him in his special grotto and receive a gift. There'll also be the chance for a photo. |
