Revd Mark and St James Church, Bierton, welcome you to their services over the Easter Period. There's a full list of services for Holy Week here. A highlight will be the family service on Easter Sunday, at 11am, with an Easter Egg Hunt!
The Exchange Church, would like to invite you to join them in an Easter Treasure Hunt around Buckingham Park on Easter Sunday. If you would like to join in the family fun, just come along to the school hall (side door entrance) at 10.30am on Sunday 5 April to collect the Treasure Hunt clues and free refreshments. Afterwards, there will be a short Easter celebration and Easter prizes for everyone who completes the Treasure Hunt. This will be a great opportunity for Buckingham Park families to celebrate Easter together. Families are warmly invited to ‘Make Lunch’ at Aylesbury Vineyard! Location: Aylesbury Vineyard, The Vineyard Centre, Gatehouse Close, Aylesbury, HP19 8DN These lunches are part of the “MakeLunch” initiative. http://www.makelunch.org.uk/kitchens/vale-of-aylesbury-vineyard Parents are expected to stay with their children. Thank you to all our families who have joined in the fun, and have also raised money for Comic Relief. All the money raised for Red Nose Day is spent by Comic Relief to transform the lives of millions of people, both at home in the UK and across Africa. This morning, in our Red Nose Day Worship Time, we shared the story of Ngosa. You can take a look at her story here: https://youtu.be/Y08RcHm0wLc We also showed a film of the staff doing something funny... There are signs of Spring in our entrance hall at school. At the beginning of last week our 'Lenten Tree' was bare and this week hundreds of new leaves have appeared! Each leaf represents a Lent Promise from a member of our school community. If you are in school, take some time to have a read through some of the promises. This Lent, we're not giving something up, we're giving something back. We're challenging ourselves to be kind, helpful and generous.
We wish every happiness to our families who are celebrating Holi, the festival of colours, this week. Holi is a festival celebrated by Hindus around the world: it heralds the beginning of spring and is is a festival of colour and fun.
