We are asking our children to help in the fight against dog fouling in and around the Buckingham Park area.

'Developer Eyes' has launched a competition for our children to design a poster that encourages owners to pick up after their dog and use a bin.

Dog owners are expected to clean up after their dog and they can put their pooch’s poo in the dog bins around Buckingham Park.

Dog poo is unhygienic and poses a health hazard. We want Buckingham Park to be a community which takes care of the environment and keeps our pathways, roadways and green spaces safe.  It is a criminal offence to not clear up after your dog.

The competition is open to anyone in our School - Reception all the way through to Year 5.

As well as providing Developer Eyes with useful posters to display, the competition will also give children the chance to think creatively about how to keep their local environment clean. They will also get the chance to play a part in tackling an important community issue.

The competition entries can include drawings, paintings and slogans designed to help fight the problem of dog poo across the roadways, footpaths, parks and open spaces on Buckingham Park.

Two winners will be selected, with each winner seeing their poster design around Buckingham Park and receiving a £25 Odeon voucher.

Children can enter by handing their poster designs to their class teacher by the deadline, 13 May 2016.

A copy of the poster competition entry form will be sent home with your child and a copy is available below to download and print.
