The Great Fire of London swept through the central parts of our capital city, from Sunday, 2 September to Wednesday, 5 September 1666. The Great Fire started at the bakery of Thomas Farriner on Puddding Lane and quickly spread through the timber-framed, closely-packed houses of London.
Last week, we re-created the fire on our school playground as a starting point for some writing in Year 2. Our homes were quickly constructed, then closely packed together on our very own 'Pudding Lane'.
