Happy Chinese New Year

The celebration of Chinese New Year starts at the end of this week. The celebration last for two weeks.

During this time, houses are decorated with coloured lanterns, brightly coloured banners and arrangements of flowers. Fireworks, a Chinese invention, are let off on the Chinese New Year’s Eve.

​The dragon’s dance, performed to the accompaniment of drums and gongs, and lantern parades are also features of the celebration of the new year.

​We would like to take this opportunity to wish a happy new year to all those in our school community who are celebrating.
