GIFT DAY AT ST JAMES CHURCH, BIERTON
Saturday 3rd 0ctober 2015

St James Church, Bierton is holding a Gift Day this week to raise funds to maintain the beautiful church building. Our children love to visit St James and the church is an integral part of our community here at Buckingham Park.

Any funds raise on Gift Day money is being targeted specifically for the Church Fabric Restoration Fund. The beautiful church is an ancient, historic grade 1 listed building and as such requires regular restoration and maintenance. St James is now facing the challenge of raising money to upgrade the lighting in the Lady Chapel, Sanctuary, under the Central Tower and in the Vestry with appropriate low energy lighting which is both ecologically sound and safe to maintain.

Any monetary gifts will only be used to help us maintain this ancient, historic and listed building which serves a much wider area than just Bierton – it includes Broughton Crossing, Bierton Park, The Coppice, Oldhams Meadow, Watermead, Buckingham Park and the Elmhurst area to the north of the ring road.

If you would like to contribute, please bring your donation to the church in person on October 3rd. Stewards will be present from 9.30am until 4.30pm to accept your gift.

Or you could send your gift in to the school office marked for the attention of The Revd Mark Ackford (if sending a cheque, please make it payable to ‘St James Church Bierton’).
