Our Year 6 children are on their residential visit with The Bushcraft Company.   On this page we'll try and give you a few little updates, phone signal permitting!

Scroll down for earlier posts.

Thursday
'Tribe's got Talent' followed by Smores round the campfire finished off a wonderful day in the woods.  More quickly to sleep this evening after a full and active day!
Thursday
A great afternoon in the woods!  Peg and trap making.  Year 6 children with knives!  All safely utilised with great trainers.   The children are very tired - the early morning is catching up with them.  Hopefully they'll sleep soundly tonight!
Thursday
This morning has been all about camouflage and prey-catching skills,  preparing salmon for lunch and learning life-saving first-aid skills.    This was a timely bit of learning because our Year 6 children have needed to respond to an emergency plan landing in the wood.  We hope Mr G is going to be OK - I'm sure the Year 6 children will know what to do!
Thursday
A 'variable' night's sleep!  Some stayed out under the stars, others got back into tents! They mostly slept well.  Some were up quite early (!) but have been busy collecting wood and having joke competitions

Just about to have breakfast and then a full day of fun!
Wednesday
A fabulous day.  Making and lighting fires, exploring the woods, cooking, and creating shelters. Bolognese and brownies for dinner followed by lots of games.

The day was fun, fun, fun and the children are loving life!  Some of the children are going to sleep in their handmade shelters tonight - we'll see how long they last!
Wednesday
We've made it!  At home with the camp fire.

...And they're off!   The coach is loaded up and the children are on board.  Some are already worn out on the journey!
